"102 ties heat record in downtown Portland."
Portland broke another heat record Tuesday, recording a temperature of 106 at the airport. Vancouver also set a record at 106 degrees. Salem reached 107 degrees, Eugene hit 106 and Medford was a toasty 108 degrees.
I linked to this post from my Venice FL daily photo blog http://vfdp.blogspot.com/2009/07/cooling-off.html with a photo of our fountain. Big contrast, although I didn't get a photo yesterday when it was crowded. Still it'd amazing that we are about twenty degrees cooler here than you are in the Northwest!

I'm ready to join them. 102 degrees? no kidding
what a happy photo!
Reminds me of the kids playing in the fountain in downtown Boise.
What is going on with the weather??
Drink a lot of water, OK? Well, you know that, but I had to say it. :)

Love this image. So natural and so much fun.
What a sizzle! How many showers does one have in a day??
It's hot here but doesn't soar like your temperatures.
