I've never seen one of these before! It must be a way to more safely integrate bicycles into the legal flow of traffic.
No, they are not for integrating bikes into the vehicle flow. They are being tested to see if they can reduce the number of cyclists run over by right turning vehicles. After the intersection the bikes go back into the normal bike lane on the right.
So, do they wait behind the white line, or in the green box? I've never seen one of these, either.
